The Street Profits, the team of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, worked hard to become one of the mainstays of WWE’s tag team division. They have seen a lot of success in the company already. However, it seems Montez Ford seemingly teased a character change after this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. This has led many to believe he will be given a proper singles run soon.

Montez Ford explained just how significant The Rock was in his career. The Rock saw what Ford said and gave him very encouraging message as well. In fact, it even ended up making Montez Ford cry.

While speaking to Cathy Kelley after Monday Night RAW last night, Montez Ford tried to dismiss the perception that The Street Profits are only fun-loving and can never be serious. Due to this, Ford seemingly teased a change in character.

“To everybody, it seems like The Street Profits ain’t serious. We make jokes, we talk about everything, we get loud…know what I’m saying?  Theory, I’m telling you this right now: come find me. Matter of fact, if you don’t find me, I’ll come find you.”

During a heated confrontation on RAW, Austin Theory insulted Montez Ford by calling him “a big bag of jokes” and mocking his wrestling skills. This led to an impromptu match between Theory and Ford’s tag team partner, Dawkins, which Ford ultimately saved Dawkins from a post-match beatdown by Theory. The show ended with the announcement that Ford and Theory will face off in a non-title match on the following week’s episode of Raw.

While The Street Profits are not currently scheduled for a match at WrestleMania 39, a victory by Ford over Theory could change that and open up new possibilities for the team. Some fans have speculated that the confrontation between Ford and Theory may have caused tension between Ford and Dawkins, leading to the possibility of a split between the two.

That being said, Angelo Dawkins made it clear recently that he and Ford would never turn on each other. Montez Ford also previously stated that he wants to become WWE Champion if The Street Profits break up. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how Ford will fare against Theory next week.

Do you think it’s time for the Street Profits to break up? Are you nervous about what will happen to them post-breakup? Sound off in the comments!
