MJF retained the AEW World Title at Revolution, but it didn’t happen without catching some headlines due to controversy. The match itself wasn’t really the attraction, but it was something MJF did during that encounter that caused alarm.

MJF threw a drink on a kid in the crowd during the main event match. This happened about 5 minutes into the hour-long contest, and the kid was covered in tequila.

AEW sent down Amanda Huber to sit with the kid, and he got free tickets for a future event. Hopefully, he won’t get dosed with liquor next time around.

A lot of people spoke out about this situation, including Scorpio Sky. He tweeted out to say, “I’ll say it if nobody else will, fans/media celebrating a kid being disrespected at a show is the smallest dick energy imaginable.”

Some fans tweeted back at Sky, but Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Scorpio Sky actually hasn’t been seen around AEW for months. The inaugural AEW Tag Team Champion hasn’t been around for a while.

Regarding Scorpio Sky calling out MJF on social media over throwing a drink on a child at AEW Revolution, there were a lot of replies saying that Scorpio Sky works with MJF and is in the same locker room. Scorpio Sky hasn’t been at AEW shows in months, and has been scarcely seen at shows since losing the TNT Title last year.

MJF caused a lot of trouble for himself after AEW Revolution. That kid he threw booze on was not part of the show. AEW did everything they could to make up for things, but it was still a very messy situation.

Hopefully, MJF will learn something from this situation. Tony Khan gave him a stern talking to, but it’s anyone guess how someone like Triple H would have handled the situation.

What’s your take on MJF’s controversial drink throwing situation? Did the kid look thirsty? Sound off in the comments!
