Sammy Guevara has been with AEW since the very first episode of Dynamite. He was actually around Double or Nothing before that, and he has seen a lot of action in an AEW ring already. The Spanish God has also seen his share of backstage controversies, and some of them leaked online as well. To him, all that is cap and blown out of proportion, because he gets along with everyone in AEW.

Sammy Guevara has often been a controversial name outside of it during his time in AEW, and he’s even been reportedly involved in a skirmish or two. Both Eddie Kingston and Andrade El Idolo have reportedly had heated, and possibly physical, backstage issues with Guevara. Andrade allegedly showed up to AEW Dynamite just so he could fight him.

Despite that heat, Sammy Guevera insisted to “The Sportster” that “it’s all positive” for him within the AEW locker room.

“I have no problems with anybody there, I say ‘what’s up’ to everybody. But, the internet likes to spin a story, I understand negativity brings in those clicks.”

“AEW: All Access” teased that the problems between Sammy Guevara and Eddie Kingston will be a featured on the new AEW show. Guevara believes he’s getting the fans back on his side as a performer.

“I think I am getting the people back. I think 2022 they really hated me, and then 2023 I think they’re kind of waking up to like, ‘okay maybe we were a little stupid, maybe he actually is the GOAT.'”

We’ll have to see what Sammy Guevara does next in AEW. He has already established himself with their fans in a big way, so whatever program he moves onto next will receive a lot of attention. Only time will tell if Sammy Guevara, who is one of AEW’s 4 pillars, will someday face MJF for the biggest prize in the company.

Do you think Sammy Guevara has an AEW World Title run in his future? Will he end up jumping to WWE before that happens? Sound off in the comments and let us know what you think!
