During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up WWE’s plan for Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler at this point. The plan was for them to chase the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, and that very well could still be the plan at this point.

“They’re definitely chasing the titles. That’s been clear since the moment they put them together. I was under the impression that they were still challenging for the titles.”

We’ll have to see what happens on the road to WrestleMania, but this tag team title win certainly came out of the blue. As we previously noted, this title change was also decision that was made in the last couple of weeks.
