Rhea Ripley’s Boyfriend Buddy Matthews Says He’s Her ‘Real Papi’

Rhea Ripley has been one of the most dominant women in the WWE’s women’s division. Her raw strength coupled with her athletic ability makes her a force to be reckoned with inside the squared circle. Hence, WWE has been intent on pushing her. At the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, she entered the women’s Royal Rumble match in the dreaded number one spot and made history by becoming the first woman to win the Royal Rumble match from that spot.

This win also put her on a collision course with Charlotte Flair – a rivalry that has been three years in the making. With little over a month to go for WrestleMania 39, Rhea Ripley announced on RAW that she would come face-to-face with her future opponent on SmackDown.

However, it was Dominik who got major facetime with Charlotte last night on SmackDown. The two had a war of words before Charlotte shut down Dominik by mentioning her husband and AEW superstar Andrade El Idolo. The SmackDown Women’s Champion said that she had a “real Latino man at home who calls her Mami in a thick accent.”

Following the segment, Rhea Ripley’s real-life boyfriend and AEW Superstar Buddy Matthews took to Twitter to let everyone know that Rhea has a “real papi also.”

“Mami has a Real Papi also!”

Although Ripley is set to face Charlotte at WrestleMania, her interactions with The Queen have been very limited thus far. She didn’t engage Charlotte last night on SmackDown and only walked out to protect Dominik. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you similar stories.
