WWE has a lot of talented people in their developmental brand, but they don’t want to rush things with anyone. Many fans have wondered where Cameron Grimes has been, but he is waiting for his moment. Now, Grimes is in the right place to make that happen this week.

Cameron Grimes was once Trevor Lee in Impact Wrestling, but he really found his stride in WWE’s developmental brand. He wrapped up his time in NXT, and now he is just waiting for the right time to make his way to the WWE main roster.

We previously reported that Cameron Grimes is waiting for the right creative idea from the main roster. He hasn’t been seen since November 8th’s episode of NXT, where he lost to Joe Gacy on his way out of the brand.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Cameron Grimes is at SmackDown tonight. It’s unknown if he will debut on television, but he is having a dark match with Ashante “Thee” Adonis.

Cameron Grimes is at the site of February 24’s Smackdown. We don’t know if he’s currently scheduled for the show itself, but he is scheduled to be in action on the pre-show dark match. He’ll be taking on Ashante “Thee” Adonis.

Grimes hasn’t wrestled since November, when he lost to Joe Gacy on an episode of NXT. He has long been considered for a WWE main roster call-up, and has several people on the main roster pushing for him and vouching for him. One long time wrestler noted Grimes’ versatility of working a variety of styles, sizes, and television products.

We’ll have to see what Cameron Grimes finally does on the main roster once his debut comes around. He has wrestled dark matches before, so his presence is not a 100% guarantee that he will debut tonight.

That being said, Cameron Grimes’ WWE main roster debut could come sooner than later, because you never know what can happen on the road to WrestleMania. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more.
