As the resident Bad Boy for AEW, Joey Janela took his responsibilities extremely seriously. Since being the villain, Janela has displayed a more laid-back and genuine side of himself. However, Janela has been absent from AEW for some time, missing significant television time. But it now looks like the fans won’t be able to see Joey Janela anytime soon on AEW programming.

For a variety of reasons, a number of professional wrestlers have left All Elite Wrestling. While some have expressed a potentially future return to the promotion, others have said they have no desire to do so.

Once his contract expired in 2022, Joey Janela left the promotion. This has left fans to speculate about the possibility of seeing the former Bad Boy of Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling back in the company.

Earlier this month, Joey Janela was questioned regarding joining AEW once again. Janela stated categorically that he does not rule out going back to work for his former organization.

Since AEW is always willing to bring in talent for sporadic appearances, some people have begun to speculate if some of the company’s former stars may soon make some unexpected comebacks. But, Joey Janela recently made it obvious he would not be one of them in response to a fan question on Twitter, in a complete reversal of his previous statement.

@JANELABABY “Are you going back?”

@Sheepheadsez “No.”

Joey Janela is currently enjoying her work at GCW. With that said and taking in consideration his recent statement, it seems unlikely that the fans would see Janela back inside an AEW ring anytime soon.
