WWE is always on the lookout for new talent, especially if they already have some kind of ties with the company. Colby Corino, Steve Corino’s son, is making big waves on the indies, and now he’s about to take his talents to WWE.

According to Bodyslam.net, Colby Corino has signed a contract with WWE. He is one of indie wrestling’s top talents, and it didn’t take him a long time to decide on WWE after departing from the NWA on January 1st.

In an update on my original report, I can now confirm that Colby Corino officially signed a deal with WWE earlier this week. Sources indicated to me that Corino is expected to report to NXT very soon, and could be as early as the beginning of March.

It was noted that Colby Corino had a WWE tryout at the end of January, and he was brought in for a private session. He is not part of any “incoming class” of talent, because his signing was on his own.

Colby Corino has a few indie wrestling dates to wrap up. It was also noted that he wrestled a “Last Dance” match against Homicide for Catalyst Wrestling, and last night for PWF in North Carolina saw the final appearance of all three The Ugly Ducklings (Colby Corino, Rob Killjoy, and Lance Lude).

We will have to see what’s next for Colby Corino, but he is obviously making great pace at this point. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more updates.
