WWE is on the Road to WrestleMania, and you never know what exciting matchups will be made by the creative. It’s undoubtedly an all-hand-on-deck kind of situation right now. Now, WWE has announced a blockbuster match for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Liv Morgan and Carmella will face off in an inter-promotional match on the February 17th episode of WWE SmackDown. This is not the first time that the two have been in a match together. Most recently, they were on opposite ends of a Six-Woman Tag Team bout on the February 13th episode of Monday Night RAW.
On Thursday, Carmella and Liv Morgan started trading blows on social media. This caused Adam Pearce to make the match official.
BREAKING: Clearly @WWEAsuka and @YaOnlyLivvOnce have unresolved issues lingering from #WWERaw. They will get the chance to resolve them in person tomorrow night on #SmackDown when they go one-on-one in Montreal! It is official.
Liv Morgan previously faced Carmella at Extreme Rules in 2021. The two also faced off in an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships in February 2019.
On Saturday, February 18th, Carmella and Liv Morgan will come face to face in the Elimination Chamber match for a shot at the RAW Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania 39. The two will be joined by Asuka, Natalya, Raquel Rodriguez, and Nikki Cross.
