Booker T surprised fans with his participation in the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match. He was eliminated within a minute or two, but he still got a chance to do a spinaroonie in the Alamodome. Apparently, nothing can top that, so the five-time World Champion is calling it quits.

During his Hall of Fame radio show, Booker T discussed his brief involvement in the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Fans should have enjoyed it, because Booker T claims that is the last time he will ever wrestle.

“I’m gonna tell you right now, I think that was the last time people are going to see me in the ring. At Reality of Wrestling, I’m going to work with my students, but as far as putting my boots on again, that was the last time.”

Booker T went on to confirm that the 2023 Royal Rumble match was the end of his in-ring career. After that big match in San Antonio, he will be hanging up his boots for good.

“It’s kind of sad too. I’m kind of choked up about it a little bit. It was a great exit for me. I don’t think it could have been better than that, but putting the old boots up, it’s kind of hard. I think that was the last time putting on the boots and getting back in the ring at that level. I think that’s the last time I really want to do it at that level. I don’t think it can get better than that, seriously. I want to thank all the fans for that moment.”

Booker T didn’t last very long in the 2023 Royal Rumble match, but his involvement meant a lot to him, and his fans. That match in the Alamodome was quite a way to close off the two-time WWE Hall of Famer’s in-ring career.

Booker T will still be on WWE television as part of the NXT commentary team. He also shows no signs of stopping that role, especially since he gets to see Roxanne Perez as NXT Women’s Champion every week.
