Doudrop was known as Piper Niven on NXT UK before making her WWE main roster debut. Despite fan speculation, she was rebranded with a new name upon her main roster debut. However, her time on the main roster was underwhelming and eventually took time off from WWE television. Niven came back during the Royal Rumble and dropped the Doudrop name. Now it seems she knew about this a month before the event.

Upon her main roster debut, Piper Niven teamed up with Eva Marie, forming an entertaining duo that also competed in tag team matches. However, this alliance was short-lived as Niven betrayed Marie at SummerSlam 2021, leading to a feud that ultimately ended with Niven emerging victorious.

Piper Niven made her triumphant return during the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, where she dropped the Doudrop name. Naturally, fans were very happy about this fact as well.

Alex McCarthy of Daily Mail reported that Niven knew about the name change a month before the Royal Rumble. It was decided that the Rumble would be the place for her return.

Piper Niven will continue to be part of the RAW brand going forward. We will have to wait and see how she will be booked in the coming weeks now that Niven is back.
