AEW has a lot of plans going right now, but sometimes that involves a talent taking time off. It appears that Keith Lee is in that boat, because he’s been absent from AEW television, but this is only to hype up his eventual comeback.

Keith Lee’s WWE release came as a surprise to fans, but they were even more shocked when he didn’t immediately show up in AEW. That AEW debut eventually came for Keith Lee, and he quickly formed a team with Swerve Strickland that has since disintegrated.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Keith Lee’s absence from AEW television is a part of the story. The former NXT Champion is off AEW television, so he can sell a brutal cinderblock attack with Swerve Strickland.

Keith Lee is out of action because they are selling the cinderblock spot with Swerve Strickland, so at some point he should be back for revenge

AEW is known to write talent off television for a few weeks, so their return for revenge has more weight to it. Only time will tell how fans react to Keith Lee’s eventual return to the spotlight.

Keith Lee entered AEW with a lot of hype behind him, and tons of fans pulling for his Limitless potential. It seems that Keith Lee’s spot on the roster was a bit lost in recent memory, but hopefully, things will clear up after a cloudy period following this recent hiatus.
