The wrestling industry is filled with highly charismatic, talented, and tenured performers who have helped establish the business right from the golden age to the modern era. A name that made his way into professional wrestling during the early 2000s was the Florida native Kenny King. Recently, a recent announcement claimed that he would stay with his current company for one more year.

The current IMPACT superstar announced that he has re-upped with the promotion and signed a new one-year contract with them. Kenny King made the announcement today on The BET 1140 AM Radio Las Vegas. You can check it out on Twitter.

Kenny King started his sports journey, by playing football while growing up in Florida. He attended Florida State University and then studied at the University of South Florida. He planned to play football at the University of Nevada but had to redshirt for the first season.

Kenny King tried out for the second season of WWE Tough Enough in 2002. He made it to the final four contestants, however, WWE’s reality show was won by Jackie Gayda and Linda Miles that year.

Right after, Kenny King began competing on the independent circuit to begin his journey as a professional wrestler. Moreover, he became renowned for his work in Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling during his different runs with the companies.

The former X Division Champion made his second return to IMPACT on the February 3, 2022 episode. Currently, he is a member of the faction ‘Honor No More.’ With Kenny inking another one-year deal with the company, the 41-year-old might be looking to close out his career in a big way.
