Nia Jax was a powerhouse among female WWE Superstars, known for her dominance in the ring. Despite a lackluster stint in NXT, where she was involved in sporadic rivalries with wrestlers such as Asuka, she left a lasting impression on fans. Unfortunately, Nia was released from WWE in 2021, leading fans to believe that her pro wrestling career had ended. She came back during the Royal Rumble last week, but it seems Jax might not have signed a contract just yet.

Nia Jax made shocking return as a surprise participant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She stunned the Alamodome crowd by entering the competition as the 30th entrant, highlighting her status as a former WWE RAW Women’s Champion.

Several women eventually eliminated Jax, as fans were glad she was removed from the equation. She was not the only surprise, as even Chelsea Green returned during the match.

Nia Jax will perform at The Big Horror Event on March 10th and 11th, using her real name as advertised. The graphic, as shown below, mentions her former WWE ring name “Nia Jax” indicating she is no longer under contract and unable to use it.

It was previously reported that Nia Jax’s return was a one-off appearance. We have seen no indication that this has changed. WWE will bring back former Superstars all the time for the Royal Rumble and not ink a new deal with them. It appears that Nia Jax is still doing her own thing apart from WWE.

In addition, Nia Jax is still in the Alumni section on WWE.com, which is a telltale sign that she has not signed with the company. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Jax will become a permanent part of WWE again in the future.
