Nia Jax Returns During WWE Royal Rumble

Nia Jax was a victim of budget cuts during the Vince McMahon regime. She was released from her contract on November 4, 2021. Tonight, she showed up for the WWE Royal Rumble premium live event.

WWE held the 36th Royal Rumble match at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, tonight. The card featured five matches in total, with the Women’s Royal Rumble match being the second last on the card.

Nia Jax made her comeback as a surprise entrant during the Women’s Royal Rumble match. The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion entered the match at number 30, shocking the Alamodome in the process.

Nia Jax last worked the September 20, 2021, edition of Monday Night RAW. She was viciously attacked by Shayna Baszler, as WWE used that angle to write her off from television.

As previously reported, The Rock’s cousin still hasn’t signed new deal with WWE and only worked the match as a one-off appearance. It remains to be seen if she will rejoin WWE full time in the future.
