CJ Perry is not around the wrestling business much these days, but her presence around the Royal Rumble raised some eyebrows. She even recorded a little video with Damian Priest, but nobody saw the former Ravishing Russian on the show. It turns out that she was only in town to visit.

PW Insider noted that that CJ Perry was only around the Royal Rumble to visit. Therefore, she wasn’t booked to be at the show.

“Lana was just visiting and was not scheduled to work the show.”

CJ Perry debuted in WWE in 2013, under the ring name ‘Lana.’ She was paired with her real-life husband, Miro (then known as Rusev). Their chemistry began to pick up, and they become a notable unit in their developmental territory.

The duo of Rusev and Lana arrived on the main roster in early 2014. The commandery of the future husband and wife continued to remain strong, and they replicate their NXT success on the main roster as well.

Somewhere around 2017, Lana began competing as an in-ring performer. The Ravishing Russian, who was credited for her mic skills and work as a manager, failed to impress the WWE universe with her wrestling skills. Furthermore, Lana was released by the company in June 2021.

CJ Perry may not have been recognized as a great in-ring performer in WWE. However, she continues to excel in other ventures of her life and looks to be in a happy place, with no signs of returning to the professional ground of wrestling.

We’ll have to see if CJ Perry and Miro pop up in WWE once again, because she gave a pretty good clue that fans should see Rusev Day in WWE one day.
