CM Punk launched scathing rant about Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks during the post-AEW All Out media scrum. His verbal assault on all parties present caused significant harm to his reputation and has had ongoing ramifications within AEW. It only got worse after the subsequent brawl afterwards. That being said, many still love CM Punk. Interestingly enough, Road Dogg believes that CM Punk is more of a sports entertainer than pro wrestler.

Since the All Out event, CM Punk has been absent from wrestling due to an injury to his triceps and underwent surgery to address it. He is currently recovering.

While some fans are not excited about the possibility of his return to AEW, others are eagerly awaiting the return of the Second City Saint to the ring.

While speaking on the latest episode of “Oh…You Didn’t Know,” Road Dogg stated that he believes CM Punk is more of a sports entertainer than pro wrestler.

“I think Punk’s a great example of a guy that if you just went with wrestler, wrestler, wrestler, wouldn’t have made it without the attitude, mic skills and I don’t want to say character because Punk was never really a character, he was just himself, but he’s good at it,” James said. “He made people tune in and get behind it. I don’t have to like you, take you out for dinner [to work with you].”

Tony Khan still has no plans to release CM Punk from his contract. AEW is carrying on without Punk, even nixing him from the cover of their upcoming Fight Forever video game. We will have to wait and see what will become of CM Punk in the end.
