The road to the Grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania, is about, to begin with, the 2023 Royal Rumble event, set to take place this Saturday. With two traditional Over-The-Rope melees planned for both the Men and Women, along with other blockbuster matches, the show will surely be a massive success. Moreover, the numbers themselves indicate that the fans are ready to rumble and witness this historic show.

The biggest highlight of the show each year has been the 30-person Royal Rumble match for the Men’s and Women’s sides. The winner of the match receives a championship match in the main event of WrestleMania, an opportunity that has cemented the legacies of many future stars.

Some of the superstars announced for the Rumble matches include Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Rhea Ripley, Shayna Baszler, and Drew McIntyre. Moreover, the rumble match will also see the return of the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes after being on the shelf for nearly seven months.

Apart from that, the event will feature the new and mysterious ‘Pitch Black’ match between Bray Wyatt and LA Knight and Alexa Bliss battling Bianca Belair for the RAW Women’s championship. Finally, Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal championship against Kevin Owens.

The stacked match card has surely got the fans excited to be in attendance at the Alamodome, with numbers already indicating its success. According to Wrestletix, the event has sold out nearly 40K tickets, which may increase as the show approaches.

“WWE Royal Rumble Sat • Jan 28

• 6:30 PM Alamodome, San Antonio, TX

Available Tickets => 574

Current Setup/Capacity => 41,273

Tickets Distributed => 40,699

Resale => 2,728

The cheapest non-resale ticket is $150 at the moment. The gate for this show will be massive. I added in a few more sections that have been opened up in the past week. Other than a few unopened sections, the only seats not accounted for are the back 4 rows of the upper deck, which haven’t been opened up (pretty common for all of the recent stadium shows).”

Tune in for the 2023 Royal Rumble event on Saturday, January 28th, 2023, emanating from Alamodome in San Antonio as WWE kicks off the Road to WrestleMania. We will have complete coverage right here at Ringside News.
