Ric Flair is a legendary figure in the world of professional wrestling. He spends his time nowadays talking about various topics floating around in the wrestling world. He still gets out there, and knows how to have a good time. Obviously, his love of weed is very public at this point, as he’s been spotted burning down with Mike Tyson on several occasions. Now, Flair has been selected to serve as the official Grand Marshall for Tampa’s 2023 Gasparilla Pirate Fest.

Tampa’s Gasparilla Pirate Fest is a major annual celebration that could be compared to Mardi Gras. The event for this year will take place on Saturday at 2 PM Eastern. PW Insider reported that Flair was named as the official Grand Marshall.

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has been named the official Grand Marshall for Tampa’s 2023 Gasparilla Pirate Fest (think their own version of Mardi Gras), which is a huge annual event in that city.  This year’s event will be this Saturday at 2 PM Eastern.

If you’re familiar with Mardi Gras, then you know that things can get wild. If you add in the fact that they’re in Tampa, and Ric Flair is hosting the festivities, more than a few women could ride Space Mountain before the day is over.

Ric Flair started his professional wrestling career with American Wrestling Association in 1972. In August 1991, Flair signed with WWF. With a career legendary spanning over 50 years, Ric Flair has worked for several promotions across the globe.

The Nature Boy is 16-time World champion and was billed as a marquee attraction due to his captivating personality, wrestling style, and connection with the audience during his heyday. Moreover, he has also worked in other significant roles, most notably managing his daughter Charlotte Flair during her early years.

Ric Flair also served as a manager to his son-in-law, Andrade El Idolo during his appearances on the independent circuit. Ric Flair headlined the “Ric Flair’s Last Match” event, which was supposed to be the final contest of his 50-year career. During that match, The Nature Boy teamed with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Keep an eye on Ringside News for more.
