Sting and The Great Muta crossed paths for the first time in 1989. The two tagged with each other on multiple occasions as well. Stinger was recently in Japan for Muta’s final match.

The Great Muta tagged with Sting and Darby Allin for his swansong. The trio squared off against AKIRA, Hakushi and Naomichi Marufuji in the main event of The Great Muta Final “Bye-Bye” on January 22nd.

Sting hit a scorpion death drop, Allin hit a coffin drop, and Muta finished up the match with another shining wizard to Hakushi. Backstage, Sting and Muta talked about the match with the Stinger implying he may have wrestled in Japan for the last time.

“Yeah, maybe bye bye for Sting in Japan.”
