Zelina Vega’s growth over the past couple of years has been remarkable, to say the least. Following her WWE return, Vega went on a hiatus again because of an injury. That being said, Vega stayed relevant due to her excellent presence on social media. She is proud of her heritage and it seems she really wants a title match in Puerto Rico.

Following a hiatus because of injury, Zelina Vega made her return on a previous episode of Smackdown, where she came back alongside Legado Del Fantasma. She has proven to be a very valuable asset to the faction since her return and fans are happy for her.

For those who don’t remember, the subject of international events was brought to Triple H’s attention at the post-WWE Survivor Series: WarGames press conference.

After that, The Game advised the WWE Universe to stay tuned for Puerto Rico during the event. Naturally, Zelina Vega heard about this announcement.

While speaking during her appearance on WWE Die Woche, Zelina Vega stated that she really wants a title match in Puerto Rico.

“If WWE really does go to Puerto Rico and that does become a thing, I hope that I get the opportunity to challenge for the title because what better way than to be in Puerto Rico, where my family’s from, and just be able to have that moment there. That would be the cherry on top of my perfect career. I will not complain about anything else ever.”

Zelina Vega has been very open about winning a major singles title in WWE. We will have to wait and see if 2023 becomes the year of Zelina Vega and her title aspirations.
