Dan Lambert made his AEW debut back in 2021, and he was a regular on AEW screens managing the likes of Scorpio Sky, Ethan Page and Paige VanZant. Lambert dropped off AEW programming last year and attributed his leave to the fact that his character grew stale. It looks like it wasn’t the only reason Lambert decided to take a break from AEW television.

On the latest episode of WrestleBinge, Dan Lambert disclosed that the main reason he left AEW was that he got “a little sick of the people in AEW.” This doesn’t come as a surprise, as he faced incessant booing every time he set foot on television.

“All they do is whine, all they do is bitch, all they do is moan. If I wanted to do that every Wednesday I would just sit at home with my wife. So, I took a little break, and I am back home and readjusting and figuring out what’s next in the future. I really don’t like the fans.”

While there’s clearly bad blood between Dan Lambert and AEW fans, Lambert gave AEW credit where it was due. A longtime fan of the promotion, Lambert praised AEW for catering to fans of each wrestling style.

“If you like hardcore stuff, if you like some of the lucha libre, if you like some real technical stuff like FTR, It’s one of those things where the sum of all the parts is less than those parts, something about the whole thing and you mix it in with the fans in the audience it kind of makes me sick.”

It looks like Dan Lambert isn’t going to make a return to AEW anytime soon. Who knows whether he will change his mind in the future? Until then, stay tuned to Ringside News for the latest updates.
