Tony Khan has a lot of plans for his roster this year. With all the wrestlers under contract, AEW apparently has their eyes on one particular guy for a big push.

AEW has a locker room full of talent, and it appears that they are on the verge of pushing one of their stars. Konosuke Takeshita has a lot of attention on him already, and fans should expect a lot more.

Konosuke Takeshita moved to the United States in 2022 to work full-time with AEW. That move and dedication to Tony Khan’s company is about to pay off big for him.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that AEW plans on pushing Konosuke Takeshita. The Japanese star signed with Tony Khan’s company and has already been featured in some big roles. Now, it appears that the company is readying him for even more.

Takeshita, big push on the horizon some day soon. Probably not this week because Bryan Danielson has to win every match until February 8.

We’ll have to see what the AEW roster looks like in a year from now. If Tony Khan is successful in pushing Konosuke Takeshita, then he might just have another main event level talent on his hands by the end of 2023.

What’s your take on this situation with Konosuke Takeshita? Sound off in the comments!
