WWE lost a big talent when Sasha Banks walked out of the company. She arrived at Wrestle Kingdom 17 last night, and the world is still buzzing over her appearance. It hasn’t been 100% confirmed that she’s on her way to AEW, but it certainly seems that way.
The former Paige is set to team with an as-yet-unrevealed partner to take on Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter in the second match since she came out of retirement. That match will go down on January 11th, and fans have a very good idea who Saraya will pick.
Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall to say that Saraya’s mystery partner for next week’s episode will not be revealed tonight. That being said, there will be strong hints about who it is. Obviously, a lot of fans are pegging The Boss for that slot.
Fightful Select was told that as of this afternoon, Saraya’s mystery partner wasn’t set to be revealed on tonight’s AEW Dynamite. However, we were told that a promo from her would make it pretty evident. As with anything, things can change, especially something of that nature.
We will have to see what happens on Dynamite this week, because the fact that Mercedes Mone debuted for NJPW last night at Wrestle Kingdom opens the door for the former Sasha Banks’ AEW debut.
