Kevin Owens is undoubtedly one of the top Superstars in WWE and has worked hard to become the star that he is today. Having been a part of WWE for 8 years now, Kevin Owens is more than loyal to Triple H’s company. That being said, Owens wasn’t sure about competing again before he re-signed with WWE.

Last year, after a lot of speculation about whether Kevin Owens would stay with WWE or not, it was revealed that Owens signed another contract with WWE, which was said to be multi-year deal. Fans rejoiced about this fact, as they wanted him to stay in WWE.

Before he re-signed with WWE, many fans believed Owens would make his way to AEW and join The Young Bucks. While speaking with WrestleRant, Owens revealed that he was not really sure if he still wanted to be an active in-ring competitor before re-signing with the company.

“Uh yeah by Christmas time last year I knew I was sticking around. But before that, I really had no idea. I didn’t even know, honestly I didn’t even know at that time if I still wanted to be in the ring. You know, not because I didn’t enjoy being in the ring anymore but everything was kind of up in the air. Then I made the decision to stay in WWE and I’m certainly glad I made it because like I said, just the year I’ve experienced things that I couldn’t have imagined.”

Owens also revealed how much time he has left on his current contract. Owens is set to team up with John Cena and square off against Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn in a huge tag team match on Smackdown this week. We’ll have to see who will end up winning the match.
