Dragon Lee, WWE NXT’s newest signee, piqued the interest of many wrestling fans worldwide. The Mexican Lucha Libre standout has multiple accolades to his name. It has recently been revealed that he will now provide his experience to the world’s largest wrestling platform.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dragon Lee has also received an offer from AEW. One of his friends told them that Lee visited him seeking advice on which offer to accept. It was obviously more money than Mexico, but the friend said that WWE’s offer was above the standard NXT-level money, but not the main roster pay.

It was also mentioned that WWE contracts include a confidentiality clause that prohibits talent and their representatives from disclosing the dollar amount. If he gets called up to the main roster, a new contract is signed, and the minimum salary for the main roster is $250,000 per year. Dragon Lee is expected to be the highest-paid NXT wrestler now that Mandy Rose is no longer with the company.

Dragon Lee is under a three-year contract with annual raises, but the hope and feeling he was given were that he’d have a main roster contract and be called up in 2024. His deal is unique in that he can continue his existing licensing deals with Legends of Lucha Libre even if he joins WWE. He can also continue an existing entertainment project, which includes a middle-grade book series with Rush, Dralistico, Lee, and Bestia del Ring that will debut next year, as well as a Munoz family series being created for animation and gaming.
