Athena became an exciting addition to the AEW women’s roster. She is known for her new-found brutality as well. Recently, she spoke about competing in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match in All Elite Wrestling.

Athena burst on the scene by signing with WWE in 2015 under the ring name “Ember Moon.” Her promising run in NXT earned her a call-up to the main roster in 2018. Despite being a talented competitor, she was released from her contract in 2021 and joined Tony Khan’s AEW in May 2022.

The former NXT Women’s champion recently opened up about her desire to compete in the first-ever TLC match in AEW to get it out of her system and named top superstars she would like to battle in that match. She spoke about this during recent interview with the Dallas Morning News.

“I wanna do a TLC match in AEW. I just have to get that out of my system. I wanna do it, I wanna do it, I just wanna do it. I wanna wrestle Toni [Storm], I wanna wrestle Jamie Hayter, Britt Baker, Thunder Rosa, there’s so many women, Willow Nightingale, Penelope Ford, Marina Shafir, Nyla Rose. We have a stacked locker room with so many options for dream matches.”

Athena is the current ROH Women’s champion. She won the title from Mercedes Martinez at ROH: Final Battle pay-per-view in December 2022. Only time will tell if Athena gets her TLC wish from Tony Khan.
