WWE is always on the lockout for new stars and future main eventers. The sports and entertainment juggernaut recently held a tryout at the IMG Academy, where The New Day’s Big E gave passionate speech.

Sean Sapp reported about WWE’s contract offer to a college football standout from behind Fightful’s paywall. According to the report, WWE offered a tryout to Kash Daniel while he was still in school.

You may remember that University of Kentucky alumni linebacker Kash Daniel was often making pro wrestling references and struck a friendship up with Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows while he was still in school.

Fightful learned that Daniel was offered a WWE tryout by Canyon Ceman and the previous WWE regime, but did not end up taking them up on it — at least as of yet. Those that we spoke to within WWE at the time believed that he still had aspirations of playing professional football, specifically in the NFL, but that seems beyond a long shot now. The 24-year old stands 6-1, and weighs 221 pounds as measured by the University, but went undrafted in 2020, and has not been signed

The WWE side of things had told us believe that he wants to exhaust his options with football, and aren’t sure if the tryout offer would stand with the new regime, but noted that Gallows and Anderson being in WWE now would help him if he chose to go that route.

Kash Daniel ended up working some dates for Ohio Valley Wrestling, part owned by Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones, who has long covered Kentucky sports. Daniel hosts the Fully Unscripted Podcast now.

WWE recently offered a developmental deal to Melanie Brzezenski, who attended the two-day tryout at the IMG Academy. Melanie Brzezenski is a bodybuilder. She attended the University of Tampa.
