AEW is doing two Dynamite shows, namely, the New Year’s Smash edition of Dynamite at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado on Wednesday, December 28th. There will be some stars missing the January 4th edition of Dynamite including FTR and Kenny Omega in Seattle.

AEW will be missing some big stars this week. FTR, Sammy Guevara, and Tay Conti will be absent, because they are performing for AAA in Acapulco that night. The AAA World Tag Team Champions are FTR, and the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions are Guevara and Melo.

At Wrestle Kingdom 17, Omega will defend his IWGP United States Heavyweight Title against Will Ospreay inside the Tokyo Dome, while FTR will defend their IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles against Hirooki Goto and YOSHI-HASHI.

Death Triangle and The Elite have a 7-series tournament, but the match will not happen in the upcoming episodes of Dynamite because the superstars are busy attending to other commitments.
