WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is certainly one of the best pro wrestlers to have ever been a part of the professional wrestling world. The Olympic Gold Medalist has accomplished many things in his career and remains a living legend. He also faced off against Hulk Hogan in the past, and it seems he did not realize he wrestled in Hogan’s retirement match.

Kurt Angle had a tremendous run in Impact Wrestling, where he faced off against numerous top talent and legends – including Hulk Hogan. Hogan last wrestled back in 2012 for a series of house shows in the UK called the TNA Maximum IMPACT Tour.

Hogan competed in two six-man tag team matches as he teamed up with James Storm and Sting to take on Bobby Roode, Bully Ray, and Kurt Angle. The second live event match on January 27th, 2012, is officially Hulk Hogan’s last ever match.

While speaking on this week’s episode of The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he was completely shocked and did not realize he wrestled in Hulk Hogan’s retirement match.

“I really did not know that until now. Right now! I honestly didn’t! I’m actually really shocked, but you’re absolutely right! That’s the last time he wrestled. And to be a part of that, you know, Hogan was the biggest name in the history of wrestling. He transformed wrestling. So, to be a part of that, I’m really proud of that.”

Kurt Angle is also almost fully recovered after his double knee surgery. Angle then revealed that he is going back into retirement after his appearance on Smackdown. We’ll have to see what Angle and Hulk Hogan do next.
