WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze was a trailblazer for women’s wrestling back in the day. Alundra last competed in professional wrestling in a Battle Royal at the Evolution pay-per-view in 2018. However, Blayze recently discussed how she was almost ‘held back’ from WWE Evolution.

Alundra Blayze recently appeared in the 38th edition of the Café De René Livestream to promote her book, where she stated that there is a story about almost being “held back” from Evolution. She did not go into further detail, stating that readers would have to pick up the book to learn the rest of the story.

“It’s amazing [WWE Evolution] and it was so cool to be a part of that. So that was actually my first comeback in the ring since I retired, right? Basically, and there’s a great story to that in my book. Oh sh*t! Wait until you guys read it. It’s a good one. I wasn’t gonna go… It’s not that I wasn’t gonna go. I was already there. But, I almost got held back and there’s a story in the book about that.”

As a member of the Iron Survivor Challenge selection panel, Blayze recently appeared on NXT TV. The NXT Women’s Championship was ultimately won by Roxanne Perez over Mandy Rose in the bout.
