Bayley returned to WWE television after over a year away due to injury and wasted no time in establishing herself as a threat to many. She has faced numerous foes since her return, including Alexa Bliss, her most recent opponent. The two suffered a scary botch during their match on RAW this week, which concerned fans. As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Alexa Bliss squared off against Bayley in a number one contender’s match for the Raw Women’s Championship. She won the match after she hit Twisted Bliss on the Damage CTRL leader.

During the match, Alexa Bliss tried to hit a flying Hurricanrana on Bayley, which ended with both women crashing face-first on the ring mat. This worried a lot of fans. While speaking during an Instagram live session, Bayley addressed the botch and revealed what she told Alexa Bliss after the botch.

“I was taking a move from the girl [Bliss] I was wrestling, and it kinda got wonky. It got wonky to the point where I lost my footing, and we both landed on our heads. We weren’t knocked out or anything, but we were like, ‘that s**ked and didn’t look good.’

We just tried to get back on the same page, but we didn’t know where we were going [after the botch]. We were so flustered by it – she and I literally went for the same move, which made us collide heads again. I just had to give her a clothesline [so we could regroup]. I just said, ‘alright, let’s just stop and slow down a little bit.'”

We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to develop Alexa Bliss’ character in the coming weeks. With her finally becoming the #1 contender for Bianca Belair’s RAW Women’s Championship, perhaps fans might get to see Bliss become a champion again after many years.
