Shotzi’s Injury Is Legit & Not Part Of WWE Storyline

Shotzi has been embroiled in a rivalry against Ronda Rousey and Shayna Bazsler ever since she challenged for Rousey’s SmackDown Women’s Championship at Survivor Series WarGames. Rousey even injured Raquel’s arm a week before the event, and now Shotzi is out of action. That situation is not an angle at all.

A couple of weeks ago, before SmackDown went live, Shotzi was shown lying sitting in the parking holding her hand and screaming in pain as Ronda Rousey and Shayna Bazsler walked away. It seemed like Rousey and Shayna slammed Shotzi’s arm in car door, injuring it in the process.

As a result, Shotzi wasn’t seen on television the following on SmackDown. At the time, it looked like the injury was part of the storyline, since Ronda Rousey and Shayna Bazsler injured Raquel Rodriguez’s arm a couple of weeks prior.

PW Insider reports that her injury is what led to the angle in the first place. However, the extent of her injury and how she got injured is not known at this time.

For those who have asked about Shotzi’s hand injury, we are told that there was a legitimate injury issue that led to the angle on Smackdown last week.
