Rob Van Dam made his 2300 Arena debut in January 1996, defeating Axl Rotten. He wrestled there on a regular basis until the original ECW shut down in 2001. He also appeared in the venue for WWE’s version of ECW, Impact Wrestling, and other promotions. Now, he is set to return, but he won’t be wrestling.

According to PW Insider, former WWE and ECW Champion Rob Van Dam will be inducted into the 2300 Arena’s Hardcore Hall of Fame on Saturday, December 17th. Van Dam will be the 22nd induction into the Harcore Hall of Fame, which was established after the passing of Ted Flyboy Rocco Rock Petty in 2002. The induction will take place as part of a Battleground Championship Wrestling event themed as an ECW tribute show.

Van Dam will be the 22nd induction into the Harcore Hall of Fame, which was instituted after the passing of Ted “Flyboy Rocco Rock” Petty in 2002.

The induction will be part of a Battleground Championship Wrestling event that is themed as an ECW tribute show. The BCW event has been announced as sold out in advance.

Van Dam was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021.
