WWE NXT Preparing Julius Creed For Big Things On The Main Roster

The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels is one of the most renowned WWE legends of all time. Nowadays, Shawn uses his wealth of knowledge and years of in-ring experience to contribute towards the growth of WWE developmental brand, NXT. Shawn Michaels recently had high praises for upcoming NXT superstar Julius Creed.

Julius Creed signed with WWE NXT in 2020, after being discovered by WWE veteran Gerald Brisco at the 2018 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, with his brother, Brutus Creed, signing with the company a year later. The duo came together to be known as ‘The Creed Brothers’ becoming a part of The Diamond Mine faction alongside Roderick Strong and Ivy Nile.

The former NXT tag team champion along with his brother have established themselves as a credible tag team in NXT. WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels recently stated that Julius Creed is a very talented individual with a lot of potential. Shawn spoke about this during a media call to promote Saturday’s WWE NXT Deadline event.

“Clearly … he is an unbelievable athlete … you tell him you need to cut your side brushes … he is going to get it done …. he is an unbelievably driven young man … an incredibly hard worker and as you guys see very talented.”

Michaels further elaborated his long-term vision and current progress of the emerging NXT superstar.

“He may end up going rest of his career and never got to smile and be angry … but down here, we want to make sure that we … you know, have them viable and at least the ability to do those things … so I feel that’s where we are at with Julius and his brother.”

The Headliner concluded by stating that he sees a great deal of potential in The Creed Brothers. Obviously, NXT has big plans for them.

“There are two guys when you give them a goal … they try to make sure they do everything they can to achieve that goal … I think there is you know … a great deal of potential there in both of them.”

The Creed Brothers defeated MSK to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in February 2022. Julius and Brutus further went on to win the NXT Tag Team championships, dethroning ‘Pretty Deadly’ at NXT: In Your House in June 2022.
