After putting on a tough fight, The Usos retained their tag team titles by pinning Riddle. But the night just got worse for Riddle as The Bloodline attacked him following the match. Kevin Owens came to his aid and chased off The Usos and Sami Zayn.

Solo Sikoa remained in the ring, and he destroyed Zayn with a Samoan Spike and a hip attack in the corner. He then proceeded to grab a steel chair from outside and placed it around Riddle’s neck. Sikoa then hit another vicious hip attack on Riddle. Following the assault, Matt Riddle had to be stretchered out of the arena in an ambulance.

This left many fans wondering whether Matt Riddle suffered a legitimate injury, or if he is being written off television for the time being. During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said he wasn’t sure what’s happening either. The one thing he is sure of is that Riddle won’t be on WWE television for the time being.

“It looks like Riddle is out. I don’t know if it’s a legitimate injury, and they’re writing him off. He wrestled a match, so it must not be that bad. […] I don’t know what’s happening, but Riddle appears to be gone for the time being”

The attack Matt Riddle suffered look vicious. Whether he is injured or is being written off television for the time being, we hope to see him back in the ring again. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we keep you updated on this story.
