The AEW All Out media scrum ended in chaos after CM Punk went on a scathing rant on Colt Cabana, Page, and The Young Bucks, verbally attacking everyone involved. Punk became a hated individual because of this. Now it seems Punk might be ready to move on from his contract.

CM Punk has been out of action since All Out as he injured his triceps. He underwent surgery for the condition, and he’s been recovering since then. Many also believe he is done with AEW, despite his injury status.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, CM Punk is still under contract with AEW, so it hasn’t been bought out yet. However, he is also ready to move on from his contract.

Punk as of the weekend was still under contract to AEW and being paid and those close to him say the hold up on his being released is all on the AEW side as he’s ready and willing to move to his next project.

AEW also isn’t likely looking at buying out CM Punk’s contract. Only time will tell where Punk’s next project is, but WWE return rumors are certainly heating up. We will have to wait and see if he will return to AEW or not. For now, his status seems up in the air, but also very doubtful for a return.
