WWE’s biggest event of 2023 is already shaping up to be a beast for the rumor mill. We have to address one reported plan for the Royal Rumble as the Road To WrestleMania kicks off.

It was previously reported that “a pitch that was made for a “Pitch Black” match, and it was being seriously considered for the Royal Rumble event.” As interesting as that idea might be for Bray Wyatt, it’s not something being discussed with the entire creative team.

Ringside News asked around about this reported plan for the Royal Rumble. A tenured source in the creative team told us that they “have not heard.” Then it was floated to us that “maybe they talk to Rob Fee?”

WWE brought in horror director Rob Fee for Bray Wyatt’s unique direction. Ringside News exclusively reported that he had heat backstage, because he took credit for Wyatt’s return angle.

If these plans are in place, then they are not being discussed within WWE creative meetings. Bray Wyatt’s current creative direction is kept in a close circle with director Rob Fee, Triple H, Bray Wyatt, and a couple select individuals. Plans for Bray Wyatt are not openly discussed in this manner.

Bray Wyatt and LA Knight are currently involved in an ongoing storyline. Only time will tell what WWE has planned for their feud, but Bray Wyatt’s plans are usually kept very close to the vest.

What’s your take on WWE’s booking for Bray Wyatt since his return? Sound off in the comments!
