Saraya’s WWE career will forever be remembered as one of the most significant for women’s wrestling in the past ten years. Saraya made her way to AEW following her WWE departure, but it didn’t get off to the best of starts in the company. In fact, Saraya said it was a mistake looking at fan reactions after her promo.

Saraya’s debut promo in AEW received a lot of criticism for good reason. This included her taking a shot at Vince McMahon as well. It ended up killing some of her momentum.

While speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Saraya talked about her debut promo in the company. Saraya admitted that it was a mistake for her to look at fan reactions after her debut promo.

“I hadn’t been around the wrestling community like online in a while, and I made the rookie move to check it that week. That was my biggest regret is checking it because it made me feel awful and…I didn’t think it was that terrible. I was just getting in the swing of things, I was f*cking nervous, I let the nerves get the better of me and that’s on me.”

At AEW Full Gear, Saraya faced off against Britt Baker in her first match in over 5 years. She managed to beat Baker in a match that didn’t necessarily get a ton of praise. Regardless, we’ll have to see what’s next in store for Saraya.
