The Rock left WWE when Hollywood took over his life. Now, at 50-years-old, The People’s Champ’s window to come back and have one last match is closing. The big question is when he will reappear.

Ringside News has confirmed with a tenured member of the creative team that “Rock will not be at the Royal Rumble.” That being said, there is still a chance that WWE fans will see The Great One in 2023.

Our outlet was also able to exclusively confirm in August that The Rock is a “virtual lock” for WrestleMania, where he will likely face Roman Reigns. Just because The Rock won’t be at the Royal Rumble doesn’t mean he won’t resurface on the road to WrestleMania.

The Rock has a loaded schedule with one high profile gig after another. Millions of dollars depend on his daily routine and schedule of commitments. That being said, he is reportedly entering into a downtime in his film career, so he can focus on the XFL relaunch in 2023. That timing could be a perfect opportunity for The Rock to make it back to WWE.

Dwayne Johnson updates his millions of social media followers on his workout routine all the time, so he’s obviously still grinding in the gym. The big question is when The Rock plans on getting back in the ring to take a bump.

What’s your take on The Rock coming back for another match? Sound off in the comments!!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
