The Elite returned to AEW at the Full Gear pay-per-view event this past Saturday, and were welcomed with anti-CM Punk chants. Tonight, Kenny Omega and The Young wrestled in Punk’s hometown of Chicago and got a completely different reaction.

The Elite took on Death Triangle in the second match for their Best of 7 Series for the AEW World Trios Tag Team Championship during Dynamite tonight. The trio entered the arena to pro-CM Punk chants and a lot of boos. The Chicago crowd yelled “f*ck The Elite” chants at the challengers as well.

The Chicago crowd showed a lot of love to the defending champions Death Triangle during the match as well. Fans yelled “same old sh*t” at The Elite’s moves. Kenny Omega took things up a notch when he pulled out a GTS from CM Punk’s playbook on PAC.

The Young Bucks knew they were heading into hostile territory tonight on Dynamite and referred to that in their Twitter bio. “Chicago. This’ll be interesting,” The Bucks commented on their Chicago trip.
