Braun Strowman’s release from WWE earlier last year baffled many, as he was seen as a big star back then. The Monster Among Monsters finally made his WWE return a while ago, and fans have already adjusted to him being back on WWE television. Strowman was let go because of his lucrative contract, reportedly for $1.2 million per year, but it seems Ric Flair believes Triple H paid him far less upon his return to WWE.

Following his WWE release, Strowman largely competed in Control Your Narrative and didn’t go to any major promotion. Since his return, Strowman didn’t waste any time making an impact on the WWE roster.

While speaking on the To Be The Man podcast, Ric Flair talked about Strowman’s WWE return. Flair claimed that Triple H paid Strowman far less money for his return.

“You [Braun Strowman] look around at projects and you realize that you’re still a young kid and you need to make money, you’ve got a family. I can guarantee you that Hunter’s checkbook isn’t as big as it was. It’s just the way the world works. Guys are coming back looking for work, like Karl [Anderson] and I’m sure they’re they didn’t get big raises.”

Strowman had a solid match against Omos at WWE Crown Jewel earlier this month. Now it remains to be seen what the company has in store for the former Universal Champion.
