EC3 Believes Vince McMahon Deserves Respect For How He Handled The Montreal Screwjob

Vince McMahon was the Chairman of WWE for numerous years as he ruled over the company with an iron fist. McMahon gained a lot of respect from fans and pro wrestlers alike due to how he conducted himself during WWE’s darkest days – including the Montreal Screwjob. In fact, even EC3 believes McMahon deserves respect for how he handled The Montreal Screwjob.

The Montreal Screwjob remains one of the most controversial incidents in pro wrestling history, as it is still talked about to this very day. This is largely due to everything that transpired backstage after the incident, especially with Bret Hart and Vince McMahon.

While speaking on The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 talked about The Montreal Screwjob. The former WWE Superstar stated that he believes Vince McMahon deserves respect for how he handled the Montreal Screwjob.

“You gotta respect the hell out of Vince, not for that fact [Montreal Screwjob] but maybe for the fact that he knows he has to take what happens next. Stand right up there, take it.”

The Undertaker also threw a chair backstage in pure anger after the Montreal Screwjob. The Montreal Screwjob changed the course of pro wrestling and Vince McMahon made the best use of it and that is what matters in the end.
