Kazuchika Okada Wants To Face The Rock

Kazuchika Okada is one of NJPW’s top stars, and he has enjoyed a very long reign with the company’s top title, the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. He held the title for a whopping 720 days between 2016 and 2018. Okada shocked fans when he made his AEW debut earlier this year. While there are many wrestlers who would love to step into the ring with the incredibly talented Okada, he has sights on someone else from a different universe.

October 3rd, 2022 saw the world premiere of DC Studio’s Black Adam movie. Since then, the movie has grossed $352.2 million worldwide, The movie places Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in the titular role of Black Adam, an antihero with superhuman abilities.

Recently, Okada made an appearance at a promotional event for the release of the Japanese dub of DC Studios’ Black Adam movie. Okada is set to make cameo appearance as a voice actor in the Japanese dub, though it is unknown who Okada is set to play.

While participating in the promotional event, Okada expressed his desire to face off against The People’s Champion. The former IWGP Heavyweight Champion noted that he is very open to the idea.

“It looks like he can fight. He looks like he can do it (Okada joked about the Black Adam figure).I think we can have a match”

“Well, as a fellow pro wrestler, I’d like to have a match with him (The Rock).”

It remains to be seen whether The Rock accepts Okada’s challenge. Rest assured, they will now have a connection through the Black Adam movie. For more updates, stay tuned to Ringside News.
