AEW Criticized For Killing The Elite With ‘Lame Storylines’

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks were suspended over their involvement in the brawl after AEW All Out. As previously reported, The Elite was backstage during AEW Dynamite last month and had good time. They were also present the week afterwards, but that won’t stop AEW from taking heat.

AEW teased The Elite’s return with a series of vignettes over the past few weeks. On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, the company teased that the Elite will return at AEW Full Gear.

While speaking on Keepin’ it 100, Konnan made talked about The Elite returning to AEW. He blamed ‘lame storylines’ for killing Omega and The Young Bucks’ value over the past couple of months.

“I think they’re more valuable than this guy [Write-in question] implies. I mean he really buries them. I think lame storylines have killed them more than anything, but if you’ve got the Young Bucks and Omega on your roster, those are definitely talents you want.”

We will have to wait and see whether The Elite will become the new Trios Tag Team Champions at AEW Full Gear, should they receive a title shot on November 19th.
