Austin Theory eventually found himself on the main roster as Vince McMahon’s protégée. While he had a good start on the main roster, it all changed after Vince McMahon retired, which led to Theory falling down the card and constantly losing. It is no surprise that even fans have called out WWE for how he is being booked.

When Vince McMahon was in charge, Austin Theory received a huge push and was constantly given focus. That all changed after Triple H took over as part of WWE Creative.

While speaking on the Jim Cornette Drive Thru, Jim Cornette stated that he believes Austin Theory is the only Superstar to lose out after Vince McMahon retired.

“The reason I watched RAW was because I heard about one match on it. I know what’s gonna happen but I gotta see it because I’m interested in it… My boy Austin Theory, the best young prospect. I won’t swell, I won’t say now the best young prospect, he’s one of the best in-ring talents. He’s the only guy that has come out worse since Vince has been gone.”

However, he still has the money in the bank briefcase so typically the booking for that is you make someone disappear for a little while, and they have the briefcase, so when they appear with the briefcase it’s an even bigger surprise. We’ll have to see what’s in store for Vince McMahon’s former protégé.
