Odyssey Jones Says Shawn Michaels Is Always Looking Out For Him

Odyssey Jones took on Carmelo Hayes in the finals of the NXT Breakout Tournament on August 24th, 2021. Jones spent the following months regaining his momentum but, unfortunately, an injury put him out of action.

The big man made his televised return to NXT last week on NXT after ten months out of action. Jones boosted the spirits of Malik Blade and Edris Enofe following their loss to NXT Tag Team Champions Pretty Deadly.

Jones made his televised in-ring return last night on NXT. The Breakout Tournament finalist defeated Javier Bernal in singles competition. Jones was ecstatic after his win and noted that Shawn Michaels always had his back.

“I was just exited to get back in the ring. Mr. Michaels is always looking out for me. He gave me a good opponent. Javier is a great dude, hard worker, but today he just didn’t have enough to hang with Big O. That’s simple baby.”

For those not in the know, Odyssey Jones already had non-televised match during an NXT live event last weekend. Jones picked up the win over Javier Bernal that night as well. We’ll have to see what’s next for Jones, but he is certainly happy to be back.
