Kane is a WWE legend who still makes headlines for his past. As a WWE superstar who later became a mayor, he often gets attention for his administrative and political moves.
The WWE Hall of Famer is the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. He often takes to Twitter to reveal what is he planning next, or what is something that ticks him off. It appears that Mayor Glenn Jacobs has a strong stance against all-ages drag shows.
Kane said that his office is receiving constant calls over all-ages drag shows. He voiced to everyone concerned that he is keeping drag shows involving children out of Knox County property.
Over the past couple days, my office has been flooded with calls concerning all-ages drag shows. Let me be clear: I don’t care what consenting adults do, but leave kids out of it. As Mayor, I will do everything I can to ensure these events don’t happen on Knox County property.
The Mayor also addressed in a separate tweet that he has no authority over such events conducted by private businesses. However, he is willing to endorse any projects that are against the “sexualization of our children.”
Currently, however, no law on the books gives me authority to address what happens in private businesses. I do and will support any effort of our state legislature to prevent the sexualization of our children.
Actor and producer Seth Rogen recently made a comment saying that he looks like Kane without a mask. Kane revealed that WWE had no plans for him to turn green. He recently received a special honor from WWE for achieving a milestone. We will keep an eye on Kane’s continued battle with all-age drag shows.
