Emma had a good run in NXT as she was part of the original female wrestlers back then, competing against stars like Saraya and others. Her main roster run was largely uninspired for a variety of reasons. WWE also didn’t try to hide her.

Emma was eventually released by WWE back in 2017. Following her release, she went on to work in numerous promotions, including Impact Wrestling, where she saw success.

Emma returned to WWE last Friday night on SmackDown. The Australian answered Ronda Rousey’s open challenge for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Emma lost after Rousey made her tap out to the armbar.

According to Fightful’s paywall, WWE didn’t hide Emma backstage before her return. The report also mentions that the higher-ups didn’t keep Shinsuke Nakamura’s return a secret either for his spot on the show.

Madcap Moss is also ecstatic about Emma’a return. We will have to wait and see what is in store for Emma, as she will be a weekly contender on the SmackDown brand.
