AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT both brought loaded shows to the table this week. They also went head-to-head for the first time in forever, because Dynamite had to change days. How did the viewership turn out?

Wrestlenomics noted that AEW Dynamite won the night with 752,000 viewers, with a .26 in the 18 to 49 demographic. WWE NXT pulled in 676,000 viewers, with a .13 in the treasured demographic.

October 11th’s episode of WWE NXT brought in an overnight average of 737,000 viewers, with a .15 in the 18 to 49 demographic. The October 12th episode of AEW Dynamite brought an overnight average of 983,000 viewers, with a .32 in the 18 to 49 demographic.

October 4th’s episode of WWE NXT brought in an overnight average of 625,000 viewers, with a .13 in the 18 to 49 demographic. October 5th’ episode of AEW Dynamite brought an overnight average of 1.038 million viewers, with a .33 in the 18 to 49 demographic.

The NXT vs AEW head-to-head will not continue next week. This was only in place because Major League Baseball needed TBS that night. It is still interesting to see how things stack up when they go against each other.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
